St. Albert SLAM is looking for volunteer coaches for the upcoming basketball season.
Our coaches play an important role in creating a positive, organized, and development-focused experience for our athletes. Whether you have coaching experience, playing experience, or simply a strong interest in helping young athletes learn and grow, we would like to hear from you.
SLAM provides support and resources to help coaches throughout the season, including access to coaching clinics and guidance from the club.
Most teams can expect:
One weeknight practice per week
One game per week, typically on a weeknight or Saturday
Communication with players and families throughout the season
A focus on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive team environment

Please note that you'll need to upload your Criminal Record Check (CRC) during the registration process.
Also, check your emails for the SLAM promo codes, as your Alberta Basketball and Canada Basketball fees will be covered by SLAM.
Criminal Record Check
As St. Albert Slam requires all coaches to obtain a Criminal Records Check every year, a volunteer letter of introduction for RCMP/EPS with instructions will be sent via e-mail.
Sexual Harassment Policy
Alberta Basketball has instituted a Sexual Harassment Policy for all coaches & staff. Acceptance of this policy at the time of volunteering is required.
