To register with St. Albert SLAM, your child must either live in St. Albert or attend school in St. Albert. If neither applies, you must request a transfer from your home zone. This requires approval from both your home zone and SLAM, and involves completing a formal release process. Transfers are not guaranteed unless your home zone is at capacity.
EYBA zones are assigned based on where you live or go to school. Below are the official EYBA member zones:
Edmonton Zones:
Surrounding Area Zones:
St. Albert SLAM Basketball Association
Important: If you register with St Albert SLAM without meeting residency or school requirements and without a valid transfer, your child is ineligible to play. This may result in the team being disqualified from EYBA playoffs or facing other league sanctions.
To avoid issues, please follow the proper transfer and registration process.
Process is as follows:
• Parent of player requesting the release must contact the director of their current zone program and advise that they would like to be released and must indicate the reason why.
• Director of the releasing zone will either approve or deny the request. Zone directors must state their rationale for approval/denial.
• If approved, the releasing director will provide a password to a Transfer Package
• Transferring the Player takes place within RAMP Registration Portal and requires another zone to accept the transfer
• Once the transfer is approved by the receiving zone (and the league) an appropriate package will then be added to the player’s account.
